Paul has enjoyed a hugely successful corporate career covering all aspects of marketing; he is a qualified CIM Chartered Marketer and currently runs his own marketing consultancy.

Considered by many as an expert in marketing, and the automotive business in particular, he spent 25 years at BMW Group UK, including 10 years as a member of the Senior Management Group. Prior to that he also worked in leading commercial, manufacturing and financial sectors, including Kawasaki Motors UK, CompAir and Barclays Bank plc, and has chaired a number of industry and trade committees.

His extensive knowledge and experience has been gained by ‘heading-up’ pretty much every marketing discipline, including advertising and communications, brand development, strategic planning, digital, CRM, research, dealer marketing and events. For over eight years, he was also responsible for all experiential and sponsorship programmes for both BMW and MINI brands.

As well as managing a multitude of car launches and communications campaigns over the years, he has also overseen numerous brand partnerships in the world of sport, retail, arts, fashion, travel, music and culture.

For five years now, Paul has been successfully consulting and advising leading brand owners, agencies, media owners, venues and event organisers, particularly within the automotive, experiential and sponsorship markets.

Throughout his career he has earned himself a reputation for being highly professional, insightful and pragmatic, with a fastidious ‘eye for detail’ - and also as a great mentor. He believes that any marketing activation should be part of a fully integrated campaign strategy for the brand, and grounded in sound commercial thinking.
